Hi! My name is Heather Tate and I am the owner of Live & Learn Academy, but more importantly than that, I am a mother myself. My husband and I have 4 children, ranging from ages 10-21. We know all to well the struggle to find quality childcare. When our children were smaller, we wanted an excellent early childhood education but also wanted a smaller, more intimate program like what you'd find in a home based school. We wanted family style care in an educationally rich environment. It was hard to find exactly what we wanted and we knew we couldn't be the only ones.
From there, Live & Learn Academy was born.
Our classrooms are structured environments with both teacher directed and student led activities. Children learn best through play, so while many activities look like playing, there is much to be learned! All of our activities will allow children to develop social and listening skills, problem solving as well as kindergarten readiness skills. We want children to be happy and excited about learning and reaching their full potential.
