Hi! My name is Heather Tate and I am the owner of Live & Learn Academy. I am a native North Carolinian raising 4 children with my wonderful husband Kasey. As a mom myself, I know all too well how difficult it is to trust strangers to care for your little ones. It's the very reason I started a preschool 13 years ago! All the worries, doubts and fears you may feel at this very moment during your search for childcare, I've had them!
At Live & Learn Academy, we offer a comprehensive preschool program, but we're much more than that. Over the years, we've had the privilege of building a close-knit community with our families, forging lifelong friendships and connections. Though we may began as strangers, but we don't intend to stay that way for long!
Development begins when a child is conceived and continues throughout life. We view each child's growth and development as a process, not an event. Our goal is to provide positive settings where children can experience learning "hands on" using a wide variety of learning materials. Our theme based, teacher created curriculum provides guidance and activities in each unit to help a child develop language, reading, writing and math skills appropriate to his/her level. Physical, mental, emotional and social development are equal of importance. Our teachers select activities which provide a balanced program of early childhood education and offer a daily adventure of learning through play. Your child's experiences at Live & Learn Academy will encourage growth in all developmental areas and foster a lifelong love of learning.
Live & Learn Academy owes much of its success to the profound contributions of the three women pictured here with me. Their unbridled passion for early childhood education, coupled with the indispensable qualities of patience, love, and nurturing, have been instrumental in fostering an optimal learning environment for the preschoolers they serve.
